AI Assistant Job Card

This article explains how to use AI Assistant on the Job record. AI Assistant integrates with OpenAI and Azure and can generate messages by automatically pulling information from the Job and Candidate records in your Bullhorn ATS. You can use this to generate public job descriptions, screening questions, pitches, and much more with the click of a button.

AI Assistant is an optional feature. To request it, please reach out to your Bullhorn Account Manager.

Using the AI Assistant Job Card

  1. Open a Job record and find the AI Assistant card on the Overview tab.

    • Don’t see this card on your Overview tab? Click LAYOUT at the top right of the record and make sure AI Assistant is enabled under the CARDS tab.
  2. Select a prompt by clicking one of the buttons at the bottom of the AI Assistant card, or by clicking MORE PROMPTS and selecting an option within the list.

The following standard prompts are available by default:

Custom Prompts

If you need something else not included in the default prompts, you can create a custom prompt.

  1. On the AI Assistant card, click MORE PROMPTS, then select Custom Prompt.
  2. Click into the Type a custom prompt field and enter your prompt.
  3. Click into the Select Data field below to select the data points you’d like AI Assistant to pull from. You can select from the following fields:
    • Job Description
    • Job Title

  4. Click UPDATE to send your prompt.

Tips for Writing an Effective Prompt

  • Start with an action word (create, write, etc.)
  • Provide context about what is requested
  • Use a reference (in AI Assistant this is the Job Title)
  • Be specific

“Write a two-sentence job description for Lead Software Engineer that can be sent as a text message to a candidate.”

If you repeatedly write the same custom prompt, why not add it as a default prompt in AI Assistant Studio?
