Where can I view my web responses?

What happens when a new candidate applies for a job posting online?

Bullhorn parses the resume and logs the record with a web response. You can view web responses on the corresponding job's Submissions tab (Activity tab in S-Release) or on the Submissions List by filtering the Status column by “Web Response”.

From the Submissions List, you are able to:

  • Accept the web response as a submission.
  • Delete the web response. This does not delete the candidate record.
  • Add an internal submission with your desired status. Bullhorn recommends the "Sales Rep Rejected" status.

What happens when an existing candidate applies for a job posting online?

When a candidate that already has a record in your database applies to a job posting, Bullhorn logs a web response against their existing record, and can do one of two things:

  1. Automatically update the candidate's existing record by parsing the new resume. The new resume is also added as an attachment under the candidate's Files tab.
  2. Not parse information over the existing record. Instead, Bullhorn attaches the resume the candidate used to apply to the Files tab. This is meant to prevent any important information from being unnecessarily overwritten. In this case, you should review the newly attached resume and if it is more up-to-date than the information on the record, then you can parse it as an existing candidate.
Note: If you would like to change the default behavior for incoming resumes, please contact Bullhorn Support.

Viewing Web Responses

  1. From your Bullhorn Menu select Submissions.
  2. Filter the Status column by Web Response.
  3. Select Filter.
    • Alternatively, you can perform an advanced criteria search using the Status field.
    • Since you'll mainly want to look at the most recent Web Responses on your jobs, you should also filter the Date Added column.

  4. Filter the Date Added column in Descending order.

When the above is completed, your Submissions List will display your most recent Web Responses.

It's recommended to save this view as a Favorite so that you can utilize it later.
