Pre-Screening AI Warning

It's advised to warn candidates that they'll be going through an AI screener when you send them their Invite to Screen email. Doing so is beneficial for a number of reasons:

  • It protects you legally.

  • It allows candidates to prepare for the screening.

  • It prevents candidates who don't like AI from initiating the screening and dropping out, wasting a use of the Screening Agent.

Pre-Screening Incentive

Screening with AI may be unfamiliar for many candidates. Including a statement of why AI screening is advantageous to the candidate in the Invite to Screen email can improve their experience.

For example, you may want to emphasize that AI screening expedites the recruiting process and helps the candidate find work faster.

Pre-Screening Branching Logic

Implementing branching logic is best practice because it prevents unnecessary use of the Agent.

One of your pre-screening questions may be "Do you have the right to work in the UK?".

With branching logic, you can ensure that candidates that answer "Yes" are invite to screen and candidates that answer "No" aren't. This lowers your Screening Agent use and saves candidates time.

Preferred Communication Method

Candidates may prefer to be contacted about their screening via email or text. You can include branching logic in your pre-screening questions and build an automation for candidates that prefer email and an automation for candidates that prefer text.

Depending on how the candidate answers what their preferred communication method is, one of these two automations will be used.

Post-Screening Survey

You can learn what candidates think about your AI screening process by creating a post-screening survey.

You could include questions like:

  • How did you feel about using an AI screener?

  • What would you change about the experience?

  • Please rate your experience with the AI Screener.

Gathering this feedback can help you to improve the experience.
