Managing Time & Labor Rule Templates

This is Time & Labor functionality. To have Time & Labor enabled, contact your Account Manager.

More than one Rule is often needed on a Placement. Rules that are frequently used together can be added to a Rule Template. Selecting a template instead of picking each Rule individually can save time and prevent errors when adding Rules to a Placement.

This article contains information for editing and deleting Rule Templates.

Before You Begin

To have Time & Labor enabled, reach out to your Account Manager.

Users must have the correct user type permissions to add, edit, and delete Time & Labor rule Templates. Contact Bullhorn One Support to have these updated if you do not have access.

Steps to Edit Time and Labor Rule Templates

  1. Navigate to Menu > Admin > Time & Labor Rules.
  2. Select the tab for Time & Labor Rule Templates to see a list of current templates.
  3. Select Edit from the Actions drop-down for the Template that needs to be changed.
  4. Update the necessary fields.
  5. Click Save.

Updating a Template’s Default Status

The Rule Template feature allows for one Template to be set as the default template for the entire Bullhorn One instance. The default template will be added to all new Company records created after the default is set. It is not retroactive. Rules and Rule Templates associated with Company records will populate into all future Jobs and Placements created for that Company. You can override the default template when needed.

To set the default status follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Menu > Admin > Time & Labor Rules.
  2. Select the tab for Time & Labor Rule Templates to see a list of current templates.
  3. Select Set as Default from the Actions drop-down for the Rule that will be the default.
  4. Click Make Default.

To remove the default status follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Menu > Admin > Time & Labor Rules.
  2. Select the tab for Time & Labor Rule Templates to see a list of current templates.
  3. Select Remove Default from the Actions drop-down for the Rule that will be the default.
  4. Click Remove.

Steps to Delete Time & Labor Rule Templates

  1. Navigate to Menu > Admin > Time & Labor Rules.
  2. Select the tab for Time & Labor Rule Templates to see a list of current templates.
  3. Select Delete from the Actions drop-down for the Template that needs to be changed.
  4. Click Delete.

Deleting a Rule Template will not delete that template from records where the rules have already been applied.
