How to Add Taxonomies and Taxonomy Skills

Before adding Custom Taxonomies or Taxonomy Skills, the System Administrator will need to make the tabs for both have been created and are visible. Taxonomies can be thought of as Parent categories while Taxonomy Skills are the child skills that fall under that parent. This allows Taxonomy Skills to be categorized and separated for easy organization.

Create Tabs (If Needed)

  1. Go to Setup > User Interface > Tabs.
  2. Click the New button.
  3. Enter the following fields:
    • Object: Taxonomies
    • Label: Taxonomies
    • Tab Style: Select desired tab style
  4. Click Save.

Repeat the same steps for Taxonomy Skills.
