Sourcing Center Boolean Search Returns More Candidates Than Expected

Boolean Search in Sourcing Center performs the search based on keywords from candidate's resumes. The following tips will help Users optimize their search terms to return the desired results.

  • Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) are not case sensitive.
  • Multiple keywords separated by a space default to an OR connection.
  • Keywords and phrases in quotation marks must match exactly.
  • Keywords without quotes are stemmed in the resume's native language and may match any variation of the term. Stemming can be thought of adding a wildcard to the end of the search term, so dev may return results for dev, develop, developer, development, etc.
