Duplicate Contact Records Created When Updating Resumes in Resume Power
If duplicate Contact records are being created rather than existing Candidates being updated when mass uploading resumes using Resume Power it is likely due to the Parsing Configuration settings. Here's how to change the settings:
- Go to Setup > Custom Code > Custom Settings.
- Click Manage next to Parsing Settings.
- Locate the Resume Power Dupe Prevention field and populate it with one of two values:
- Attach Only: This option prevents the creation of duplicates, however the information in the new resume is also not parsed to update the Contact record. This will simply attach the new document to the Contact Documents related list on the Contact record.
- Parse Fields: This option will also prevent duplicates and will parse information from the new resume and populate the Contact record with the new information. The new document will also be added to the Contact Documents related list on the Contact record.
