Detail

This area displays information and workflows based on your menu selection.

Options on the Detail pane differ depending on the record displayed. However, in general, the Detail area is split into three sections:

Record Name

The top of the Detail area contains the record name. For example, if you are viewing a Candidate record, the name of the Candidate displays in the top area.

In some cases, options appear on the far right of the Record Name area. Typically, these allow access to additional information about the record. For users with a back office license, Candidate records offer access to both regular and financial information. To access regular information, click the Candidate link. To access financial information, click the Employee Financial link.

Quick Access Bar

Not all records have quick access buttons...and those that do contain buttons do not always have the same buttons. To discover the functionality of any button on the Quick Access bar, hover over it with your mouse cursor.

In general, there are four types of buttons on a Quick Access bar:

  • Segment Access: The first button typically allows access to segments of a record. Segments display different information about the record. For example, the Experience segment on a Candidate record displays past employment information. To select a segment, use the segment drop list. For more information about each segment of a record, please access the segment's topic in the OnLine Help.
  • Activities: Activities are workflows that perform a function or complete a task. For example, the Candidate activities allow you to set up a meeting, update availability, send a text message or search for applicable jobs. The options that display on the Activities droplist differ depending on the type of record displayed. For more information about activities associated with records, please access the activity's topic in the OnLine Help.
  • Workflows: Not all types of records have workflow buttons. For those that do, these buttons allow quick access to commonly repeated activities. To determine the functionality of a button, hover your mouse cursor over the button.
  • Favorites: On the right-side of the Quick Access bar is a button that has a star on it. Clicking this button causes the record to become a favorite. Favorite records appear at several places in Adapt and should be reserved for records you use often. If the star is filled (typically by a blue color), then the record is already a favorite. If the star is not filled in, then the record is not currently a favorite. Clicking on the button toggles it between filled and not filled.
  • Close: The final button on the toolbar (with an 'X' on it) closes the record. If you have made any changes and not yet saved, the system prompts you to save before closing the record.

Information

The Information area displays data depending on the segment selected. To edit the information displayed, click Edit. Once you have made changes, you can click Save to record your changes to the database or Cancel to discard your changes.

While the information displayed can be quite different depending on the record and segment selected, there are some typical buttons for which you should be aware:

  • Quick Info: Clicking the quick info button provides you with information about the associated field, grid, area or action.
  • Update: Clicking the update button typically allows you to change information displayed in the associated field.
  • Email: Clicking the email button opens the Send an Email window.
  • Remove: Clicking the remove button deletes data in the associated field.
