Amplify Present Troubleshooting

Use this section to resolve common issues when using or administering Amplify Present.

Issue: My merge tags aren’t populating when applying a Present template to a Candidate

Possible cause:

Merge tags in a Present template are linked to specific fields on the Candidate record. If those fields are blank, the merge tags will not populate when the template is applied.

How to fix it:

Confirm that the relevant fields are completed on the Candidate record you are applying the template to. Once the fields are populated, re-apply the template and the merge tags should resolve correctly.

Issue: Recruiter sees "Access Denied" when opening Amplify Present

Possible cause:

User is missing the BHRC Amplify User Actions permission set.

How to fix it:

Assign the permission set from Setup > Users. For detailed instructions, see Amplify Present: Set Up.

Issue: Admin cannot see the template management view

Possible cause:

Missing BHRC Amplify Present Admin permission set.

How to fix it:

Assign the permission set in addition to the user permission set. For detailed instructions, see Amplify Present: Set Up.

Issue: Templates do not load, or document generation fails silently

Possible cause:

The API key has not been properly configured in Salesforce.

How to fix it:

Ask Bullhorn Professional Services or Support to verify the required API key has been properly configured in your Salesforce org. For details on configuration, see the Setup Guide.

Issue: "Amplify Present" action on a Contact opens a new tab that loads forever

Possible cause:

Missing permission set or API key not configured.

How to fix it:

Confirm the user has the BHRC Amplify User Actions permission set, and the API key is configured. Verify with Bullhorn Professional Services or Support.

Issue: "Failed to save template" error after adding images

Possible cause:

The template exceeds the 64 KB Azure Table Storage payload limit.

How to fix it:

Remove one or more images and save again. For details on size limits, see the Known Limitations section of Amplify Present: Set Up.

Issue: Preview shows "New block" instead of an AI-edited resume

Possible cause:

The prompt on the Amplify block is too large or unclear.

How to fix it:

Shorten or rephrase the prompt and re-preview. Keep prompts focused with clear instructions.

Issue: Preview shows "This candidate doesn't have a resume"

Possible cause:

The candidate has no default Resume Contact Document on file in Bullhorn Recruitment Cloud.

How to fix it:

Add a resume to the candidate record in Bullhorn Recruitment Cloud.
