Merging Duplicate Company Records in
If a
company exists in with two different Bullhorn IDs, and you have determined the records should be merged, you'll need to ensure they're merged successfully, as to not inadvertently impact important data.Merging Company Records is not recommended for
customers. To move forward with merging Company Records, contact Support.Data Impacts
When merging Company Records the following Pay & Bill data will move from the secondary record to the designated primary record:
-
Location
-
Billing Profile
-
Invoices
-
Invoice Terms
-
Discount
-
Shifts
Notes, Contacts, Job Postings, Files, CV Sents, Custom Templates, and Activity records are also moved from the secondary record to the primary record. If both records have been used extensively, or if you have automations or customizations in place, merging the records could significantly impact data downstream.
Additionally, merging Company Records can impact data within BTE. Potential data impacts include Rates, Time & Expense Branches, and other Assignment details. Contact Bullhorn Support to perform exploratory research prior to any merging action being taken.
If you choose to merge records, and the merge results in the record that existed in BTE to no longer exist, this will likely cause issues. Contact Bullhorn Support if this occurs.
