Duplicate Authorized Representative Records When Assigning Second Signer

Order Workflow

An issue was resolved where duplicate authorized representative records were created when users assigned themselves as the second signer for I-9 forms, which caused confusion and clutter in authorized representative lists. This occurred especially when email addresses contained uppercase letters or when the Assign Myself button was clicked multiple times.

Why does it matter?

The system now correctly matches email addresses regardless of capitalization and prevents multiple submissions from generating duplicate authorized representative records. Additional improvements ensure that rapid or repeated clicks on Assign Myself no longer trigger redundant entries. This fix ensures accurate, clean, and reliable representative records, improving the overall workflow and maintaining the integrity of I-9 authorization data.
