New Setting to Disable Auto-Population of Published Description

System Settings

What's new?

We have introduced a new System Setting (aka Private Label) setting called autoPopulatePublicDescription. This setting allows admin users to control whether the Published Description job field automatically populates from the Internal Description field. When the setting is set to "TRUE", Bullhorn continues to auto-populate the published description as it does today. When set to "FALSE", the published description no longer auto-populates, allowing enhanced or AI-generated content to be written to the published job description as intended.

Why does it matter

Previously, enhanced job descriptions created with Bullhorn Automation or Amplify could not update the Published Description field because it was already populated. This new setting allows organizations to disable auto-population of this field, ensuring that enhanced content can properly update the Published Description field.

How do I enable this?

This setting defaults to true, which maintains the standard behavior where the Published Description is automatically copied from the Internal Description. To change this behavior, an admin user can edit the setting by locating autoPopulatePublicDescription within the System Settings and setting it to false.

This setting is not available with ATS Growth Edition.
