Stop Onboarding Rule Prevents Ineligible Candidates from Completing Onboarding
Settings
What's New?
When a Stop Onboarding rule is enabled, the system automatically halts onboarding based on a candidate's answer to a configured yes/no question. The candidate sees a configurable message and cannot navigate back to change their answer. Administrators or HR representatives can reopen the onboarding process if needed.
Why Does It Matter?
- Prevents ineligible candidates — such as those who are underage — from completing onboarding before your team is aware.
- Gives administrators full control over the stop-onboarding rule, including the triggering question, the answer that stops the process, and the candidate-facing message.
- Reduces manual intervention by automating a compliance checkpoint directly within the onboarding workflow.
How Do I Enable This?
- Navigate to General Settings and select the Stop Onboarding tile.
- Check Enable Stop Onboarding Rule.
- Enter the question that should trigger the stop, select whether a Yes or No answer stops onboarding, and enter a message to display to the candidate.
- Click Save.
