Amplify Present: Managing Templates

Open the Amplify Admin app from the App Launcher, then select the Amplify Present tab to reach the template management surface. Admin mode loads automatically for users with the BHRC Amplify Present Admin permission set.

The Template Selection Page

The Template Selection Page is the entry point to Amplify Present. It lists all templates and packets available in your org with a thumbnail preview and shows the name and type on each card.

Use the controls at the top of the page to find templates quickly:

  • Keyword filter: Match by template name.
  • Type filter: Filter by Packet, Cover Letter, or Resume.

Creating a Template

From the Template Selection Page:

  1. Click the option to create a new template.
  2. In the modal, enter:
    • Name — how the template appears to recruiters.
    • Template Type — Cover Letter or Resume.
    • Preview Text — short description shown to recruiters on the template card.
  3. Click Create to open the Template Editor.

From there, you build the template from scratch by adding content blocks.

Editing a Template

Open any existing template from the Template Selection Page to launch the Template Editor. The editor occupies the full Salesforce viewport so you have maximum room to work.

In the editor you can:

  • Add, remove, and reorder content blocks.
  • Change styling — paper size, font, and margins.
  • Edit metadata — name, type, description, and anonymisation flag.
  • Save and Cancel from the action bar.

Some metadata changes auto-save as you make them. Block-level changes require Save.

Content Blocks

Templates are built from blocks. The following block types are available:

Block Type Default Content / Behavior
Text Free-form rich text. Default content uses Salesforce merge tags.
Contact Candidate identity block. Uses Salesforce Contact merge tags (e.g., {Email}).
Skills Candidate skills block. Renders from a generated {skills} tag built from the candidate record.
Work History Renders from a generated {experience} tag aggregating the candidate's work history.
Education Renders from a generated {education} tag aggregating the candidate's education.
Resume File Auto-pulls the candidate's most recent resume and embeds it. Includes a configurable prompt that guides Amplify AI in refining the embedded content.
Image Embeds an image. See the Known Limitations section for size limits.

Merge Tags

Text-based blocks support merge tags. Use the Add Merge Tags popup in the editor to pick from Salesforce Contact fields plus three generated tags: {experience}, {education}, and {skills}. Tags respect field-level security and the user's locale.

Amplify AI on the Resume File Block

Every Resume File block can carry its own prompt. The prompt tells Amplify AI how to tailor the resume content — for example, tone, focus areas, or sections to expand or compress.

Keep prompts focused. Very long or open-ended prompts can sometimes cause the block to fall back to a placeholder. If you see New Block in the preview instead of the AI-edited resume, shorten the prompt or split it into clearer instructions.

Skip Amplify

Resume content blocks support a Skip Amplify flag. When enabled, the block is rendered as the candidate's raw resume content without Amplify AI processing.

Previewing and Exporting Templates

Open a template from the Template Editor to reach the Template Preview page. Use the action bar to:

  • Preview PDF — render the template as a PDF.
  • Preview HTML — render the template inline.
  • Export DOCX — download the template as a Word document.
  • Print — open the print dialog.

Packets

A packet is a group of templates that recruiters can generate together. Use packets when a candidate presentation needs more than one document — for example, a cover letter and a resume.

Creating a Packet

  1. On the Template Selection Page, start the create-packet flow.
  2. Select two or more templates to include.
  3. In the modal, enter:
    • Packet name
    • Preview text
  4. Click Save.

Managing Packets and Templates

From the Template Selection Page you can:

  • Duplicate a template or packet.
  • Show or hide a template or packet from recruiters.
  • Delete a template or packet.
  • Add templates to an existing packet, or remove them.
