The following is a list of terms used in Bullhorn Talent Platform.

  • (or Candidate or Talent) Customer talent - the person applying or hired for the job
  • B
  • Integration to perform a background check or drug screening for an Applicant (e.g., Asurint, Checkr, Crimcheck)
  • A set of global document maintained by Bullhorn that client’s can enable as needed. This would include I9, Federal W-4 and State Withholding forms.
  • The Admin ability to bulk add Users or Locations via a CSV file. User upload requires email, first name, last name, location, and role type; ATS User ID optional. Location upload requires name, country, address, city, state, zip, phone number, email, time zone, URL code, and date format
  • C
  • The Compliance Manager Dashboard is a centralized location for storing, tracking, and sharing candidate credential information. This feature streamlines the credentialing process that allows Credentialing Specialists to keep track of the requirements needed for candidates to start a placement and quickly identify areas of non-compliance in a single area of the ATS.
  • A record of qualification and/or clinical practices history. Example for Light Inustrial: Fork Lift Certification Example for Healthcare: Nursing License
  • Ability to create and assign Onboarding Requests and Tasks, based on Credentials assigned to Candidates in Bullhorn; NOTE: Credentialing must be enabled in the ATS
  • A file uploaded to a Candidate record or to a Candidate Credential that provides proof that they are qualified to do the Job
  • The tool for managing and configuring Applicant credentials in Onboarding (statuses include Requested and Completed)
  • The Credential Overview Card is available on the Placement and Candidate overview tab. Using the information on this card, recruiters, compliance managers, and credentialing specialists can swiftly determine whether the necessary credentials have been obtained for a placement. The Credential Overview Card consists of a Progress Bar and Status Buttons. Progress Bar: Uses a calculation of the total number of required credentials for the Placement and the count of Candidate credentials in a status (defined by the credentialStatusSettings PLA) to display a visual representation of the credentialing progress. Status Buttons: Shows a visual count of credentials for each defined status group.
  • Requirement a Candidate needs to be placed in a Job (e.g., a test, documentation evidence, or license)
  • Credentials that are commonly used together and can grouped to place multiple credential requirements at a single time. If configured, these can be added to Company records and flow down to associated Jobs and Placements.
  • The Credential Requirement list is a the centralized location to view all Credential Requirements in the database, regardless of status, that are tied to Candidates and Placements.
  • A personalised menu item that is named by the client.
  • E
  • An online system that confirms the eligibility of an Employee to work in the United States. The process compares information entered by an employer from an employee’s Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, to records available to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration to confirm employment eligibility.
  • F
  • Converts an Onboarding entity to a partner entity (generally the ATS)
  • Any document that needs to be completed and signed by a Candidate
  • Any piece of information on a Form that the Candidate can fill out
  • The tool for building digital Forms
  • I
  • Form I-9 to verify the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States.
  • List A – Documents that establish both Identity and Employment Authorization (Passport, Passport Card, Permanent Resident Card, Employment Authorization Card, etc).
  • J
  • A Talent Platform feature that utilizes the semantic matching powered by Bullhorn Automation to recommend to Candidates new jobs based on their personal information, job preferences, placement history, and other factors.
  • L
  • The ability for the Applicant to select from multiple languages (currently US and UK English, Canadian French, and US Spanish only)
  • A branch of the Company, which can be customized with a logo and brand colors
  • M
  • An agreement signed by the client to authorize actions; in the case of Onboarding, it is likely an MOU authorizing Bullhorn as an employer agent of E-Verify on behalf of your company.
  • O
  • An electronic document that is sent to a Candidate used to either capture details from the Candidate or signed confirmation. e.g., I-9, Certificate Details, Declarations, Offer Letter, etc.
  • P
  • A group of Forms grouped together based on Location, Client, or other internal design that can be assigned as a single Task
  • The tool for grouping Forms into Packages
  • The relationship between a hiring organization, Job opportunity, and a Candidate; describes an employee’s potential or current job within an organization
  • Ability to automatically execute manual onboarding tasks, including assigning Forms or Packages based on simple Placement criteria.
  • Placement Requirements are Placement Credentials that are required for a job or placement. If configured, these can be added to Company records and flow down to associated Jobs and Placements.
  • The automated check to see if any changes have been made in the ATS. If changes have been made, data is retrieved and updated in Onboarding
  • Ability to automatically assign Forms or Packages to Locations or an Applicant's job preferences after Profile completion
  • The Applicant’s self-service ability to add or update information about themselves (e.g., job preferences, references, education, work history)
  • S
  • The Candidate’s ability to log in and update their profile and review their tasks. May include the ability to add or update their own forms and enter their time via an iframe of BTE. NOTE: The Customer must have Candidate Self-Service enabled before Candidates can navigate to the self-service view in their Profile.
  • The action used to initiate the sending of Forms and Packages.
  • Short, descriptive text identifying an area of expertise as related to a given job
  • A Candidate’s self-assessment of their aptitude of a specific area of expertise. To complete a Checklist, an Applicant must answer all Skills prompts with a score (and sub-score, if required) and provide a digital signature, which certifies that the information provided is accurate.
  • The tool for building and publishing Skills Checklists, used primarily by healthcare customers
  • T
  • A specific action that needs to be completed by a Candidate (e.g., completing a Form, Package, Credential, Skills Checklist)
  • List of tasks that have been assigned to the Candidate and need to be completed
  • W
  • A Talent Platform feature that enables a Candidate to enter their time via the self-service portal. NOTE: The candidate must be properly placed and a BTE account must be active for them
  • The internal (Recruiter) experience of Onboarding Talent Platform
  • Federal tax credit available to employers for hiring individuals from certain groups who have consistently faced significant barriers to employment. Current integrations include ADP and Equifax
