No license is needed for Power BI Desktop to create and view reports locally on your device.

What Invenias Licence to Get

The Invenias Power BI connector is available exclusively within the Invenias Executive package and is not included in the base Invenias plan.

What Power BI Licence to Get

Power BI offers user-based licensing options to support different organisational needs:

  • Power BI Pro: Recommended for individual users who need to create, share, and collaborate on reports using the Power BI Service (cloud).

    • A Power BI Pro license is required for each user accessing shared dashboards to view or interact with them.

      • You can share .pbix files with colleagues. They can open these files in Power BI Desktop, even if they don’t have a Pro license.

  • Power BI Premium: Suitable for organisations with a large number of users, allowing for broader sharing and access to additional features.
