VMS Sync Submittals: Form Not Loading
The errors in this article can occur when you click the VMS Submittal Submit button on a Salesforce record.
"Submittal setup required for Credential"
After clicking Submit, you may receive the following message: "Submittal setup required for Credential".
This is caused by a Submittal setup not being run for a credential.
Resolution
- Click Submittal Setup on the VMS Sync credential.
- Retry the submission.
- You may require a VMS Sync Support ticket.
"Unable to get [VMS Name] submittal questions"
Another message you may receive is: "Unable to get [VMS Name] submittal questions".
This is may be because submittals are disable for the credential or there is an error in creating a dummy candidate.
Resolution
- Confirm that Sync Credential Feature Submittals Enabled is set to On.
- If it is, confirm the position exists/is accessible in the VMS.
- If it's accessible, submit a VMS Sync Support ticket.
"VMS Sync was unable to load the form for this candidate Submission"
This message shows because VMS Sync was unable to parse VMS submission questions.
Resolution
- Confirm the position exists/is accessible in VMS.
- If it is, submit a VMS Sync Support ticket.
"Based on the VMS status the requisition is not accepting submittals"
This is caused by the submission form not being accessible in the VMS. The position is usually in a non-submittable status (Filled, On Hold, or Closed).
Resolution
Simply, submit to another position.
"You have hit the maximum number of VMS Submissions allowed for this job"
This message shows because the max submissions have been met for the position.

Submit to another position.
"Field not required in the VMS is flagged as required in the ATS"
This is caused by a VMS change.
Resolution
Submit a critical VMS Sync Support ticket.
"VMS fields/values are missing from the Submit to VMS form"
This is caused by a VMS change.
Resolution
Submit a critical VMS Sync Support ticket.
"Unable to submit valid values (rates, dates) to the VMS"
This is caused by an unexpected/mismatched field format.
Resolution
Submit a critical VMS Sync Support ticket.
"Position not found for the provided account and ATS ID. \nPosition may not have been uploaded by VMS Sync"
This issue occurs when a customer has an account in multiple Sync instances (Prod, Dev, QA).
Resolution
Ensure that the Sync account is only set up in Prod. This may require a VMS Sync Support ticket (check QA and Dev instances).
