Jobscience Recruiting Objects Overview
Objects Overview
Jobscience Recruiting contains the following objects.
Accounts
In the Salesforce environment, an Account describes a company or organization (a parent record) that may have multiple Contacts (child records). This feature is also available in Jobscience Recruiting. However, Jobscience Recruiting has a special Account named "Candidates". This Account is the parent of all job Candidates, who represent themselves.
Contacts and Candidates
A Contact record describes a person with an address, contact information, and many other characteristics. Jobscience Recruiting creates a variation of the Contact record named a Candidate record. This record tracks persons looking for employment and contains many fields not found in the Contact record. The goal of the Jobscience Recruiting user is to associate a Candidate with a Job Order through an Application, then to advance the candidate to a placement.
You may create a candidate by directly entering information into a Candidate record or by parsing a resume.
Job Orders
A Job Order record contains a description of the position that a company or organization would like to fill. The goal of the Jobscience Recruiting user is to associate a Job Order with a Candidate through an Application, then to advance the candidate to a placement. Jobscience Recruiting also allows you to associate a Job Order to an Account or Contact.
Searches
Jobscience Recruiting makes it easy to search for Candidates and Job Orders. Searching occurs when you:
- Discover information about a Candidate
- Find Candidates for jobs
- Find Candidates similar to another Candidate
- Find Candidates that are a good fit for a certain Job Order
Jobscience Recruiting has many search functions that make it easy for a user to accomplish these tasks.
Job Templates
Many Job Orders have similar characteristics and requirements. A Jobscience Recruiting user uses a Job Template to quickly create a prototype Job Order, which he then edits to its final requirements.
Question Sets
A Question Set is a standard group of questions and answers that a recruiter can use to filter Candidates for a specific type of job. A Job Order may be associated with a Question Set. A Question Set typically links to multiple questions, each of which links to two or more answers.
Short Lists
A Short List allows a recruiter to group candidates as desired and send targeted emails using the standard Salesforce mass email feature.
Sources
A Source describes a marketing effort that a recruiter can use to characterize Candidates. Recruiters can judge the effectiveness of Sources when analyzing the generation of Job Orders, Candidates, and job placements.
Standard Questions
A Standard Question, as the name implies, is a question presented to many Candidates. Standard Questions make it easier to maintain consistency when recruiting Candidates.
Job Board Setup
Jobscience Recruiting users use Job Boards to advertise job positions on the web. Job Boards use the built-in web publishing capabilities of force.com.
