WordPress Plugin: Activation & Configure
Overview
With almost 75 Million websites built on WordPress, it's no wonder that many companies turn to WordPress for their corporate site. Your web site is the first place candidates look for available jobs at your company. Our WordPress plugin for Jobscience makes it easy to stand up a fully functional careers page on your existing WordPress site. Perspective Candidates can browse available jobs, register, upload their resume, and apply for one or more of the posted jobs. All in perfect sync with the Jobscience ATS.
Our plugin uses RSS Feeds to simplify integration with the ATS backend. The setup enables you to bring in all the information you need to display on your site. Our Styling Page gives you control over layout and colors and even enables you to take complete control of CSS so you can style your job pages to match the rest of your site. So within hours you have added a completely integrated Careers Page into your existing WordPress site.
Step 1: Activate

Download the WordPress Plugin Zip File.

Login into your company's WordPress account via the Admin credentials and follow the below directions.
Plugins Section > Add New > Upload Plugin-
Go to Browse to upload the above Zip File

Pick Install
-
Select Activate Plugin
You should now see an option 'Job Manager Jobscience Plugin' along the left side panel. This means the above steps were successful!

- Jobs > Plugin Configure

Enter your Salesforce Credentials. Username, Password, and Security Token.

Click Configure
-
Step 2: RSS Feed Association
-
Decide what Jobscience fields to display on the WordPress site.
The available options will be available via a Field Set inside Jobscience.-
Setup > Create > Objects > Job Orders/ Assignment > Edit on the RSS Feed Field Set option.

Drag/Drop your desired fields into a display order.

Click Save.

Ensure that Job Title, Job Description, Post Job are added.

Create the RSS Feed from inside Jobscience on the Board Setup tab and keep the RSS URL link in a safe place for later use.
Directions for creating the RSS Feed can be shared via Jobscience Customer Success if you assistance on this step. -
Capture the API Name of the Fields on the Field Set into WordPress.

Left Side Bar click on Plugin Configure

You will be presented with 3 columns.

Column 1: API Field Name
-
Column 2: Custom internal value to identify the field
-
Column 3: Field Type.
-
Example: Text, Date, Integer, Salary.

Note the fields of Job Title & Job Description do not need to be added into the above-mentioned columns.

Click Save.

Copy the previously saved RSS Feed URL
-
Paste the URL into the RSS Feed URL box.
-
Click 'Copy All Jobs from Salesforce'.

This may take a while depending on the RSS Feed filters.
-
Once the above steps are successful, a number will display on the top of the page. This number references the amount of Job Orders/ Assignment associated to the RSS Feed and will display on the WordPress site.
Step 3: Salesforce Outboard Message
The following steps are to be completed inside the Jobscience/Salesforce database, logged in as the system administrator.
Setup > Create > Workflow&Approvals > Workflow Rules and click New.

Object = Job Order/ Assignment

Enter the desired Workflow Name, example WordPress Job Update

Evaluate the rule when a record = created, and every time it's edited.

Rule Criteria = Job Order/ Assignment field of Created By not equal to Blank (actually leave the space empty)

Save & Next
-
Create a new immediate Workflow Action
-
Workflow Action Type = Outbound Message
-
Name the Action, example WordPress Update
-
Endpoint URL = Copy & Paste URL from WordPress Site
-
Jobs > Plugin Configure > Use below URL for the Salesforce Outbound Message

Add over the required fields (ts2__Post_Job__c, Name, Id, ts2__Job_Description__c) and any other feeds you added to the RSS Field Set.

Save & Done
-
Activate
These below steps are completed via the WordPress site.
Plugin Styling Page: Go to Jobs > Styling

The selected fields for the RSS are available.
Check the box next to any of the fields and choose how to display the field, example as a column or row. -
Also determine the order/ Assignment of display for these fields.

Submit

Total number of jobs in the job listings page = How many jobs to display at any one time
-
Add Custom CSS = any additional CSS for your desired look/feel.

Submit
Job Template Page: Go to Jobs > Job Template
You will be presented with 2 sections:

Choose Format - from this section you can choose an format for the template. Select any format from the list and click Change Format.

Template Preview - in this section you can preview the design of the selected format for the template and the added fields on the template with their selected style.

Change the width of any section using the Width field within that section

Add any field to a section using Add Field

Drag/Drop to change the order/ assignment of any field in a section

Step 4: WordPress Styling
These below steps are completed via the WordPress site.
Plugin Styling Page: Go to Jobs > Styling

The selected fields for the RSS are available.
Check the box next to any of the fields and choose how to display the field, example as a column or row. -
Also, determine the order/ assignment of display for these fields.

Submit

You will be presented with 2 sections:

Step 5: Creating the Shortcode
These directions are completed via the WordPress site.

Using the checkboxes, you can select which Picklist Fields will be present in the Shortcode and the same Fields will be presented as Search/Filters on the Job List page.

Click the Create Shortcode button.

If you wish to narrow down the Picklist options available, hold the CTRL key and click to highlight all desired Picklist values.

Copy the Shortcode that is generated at the bottom of the page.

Click Pages from the Admin Dashboard.

Create any new Page using Add New from the Submenu or select any existing Page from the Page list.

Paste the Shortcode in the Content section of the page and Update/Publish the Page.
Step 6 = Review & Wrap Up
These steps are completed via the WordPress Site.
Review the configuration and end results!
- Click on the View Page (found on the Edit page)
The View page design will be the default design of the current theme. You can use any free or paid WordPress theme. In most themes, there is an option on the Edit Page where you can select the Page Template.
If you decide to change the RSS field within Jobscience, the following steps need to be followed to reassociate the two systems together.

Insert the RSS Feed URL

Click Copy all jobs from Salesforce on the Plugin Configure page

Set the Field display Order/ Assignment on the Plugin Styling page

Save the desired Template on the Job Template page
