What's New?

View-only mode no longer lets you save layout changes. Column reordering by drag-and-drop is disabled, and the grab cursor no longer appears on hover. Sorting, row expanding and collapsing, and top-level filtering are still available for ad hoc exploration, but these changes don't persist. The save icon is disabled in view-only mode, with the tooltip "Enter edit mode to make and save changes."

Why Does It Matter?

The change removes confusion about what you can change while viewing a dashboard. It also protects layouts from accidental changes by users who only need to view data.

How Do I Enable It?

Available by default.
