List Builder Adds Email Validity Operators for Smarter Filtering

Lists

List Builder now supports dedicated email validity operators, making it faster and more reliable to filter records based on email address quality.

What's new?

Two new search operators, Is Valid and Is Invalid, are now available for the Email field in List Builder. These operators automatically return records based on whether the email address has an @ symbol or not, with no additional value input required. The operators apply to Candidate, Sales Contact, and Lead record types, and work correctly within AND / OR condition groups. Edge cases such as empty emails, whitespace-only values, and malformed addresses (e.g. "test@") are also handled.

Why does it matter?

Previously, filtering for records with a usable email address required manually building the condition. These new operators replace that complexity with a single, reliable selection, providing several key benefits:

  • Faster list building: No need to construct multi-condition workarounds to check email quality.

  • Cleaner logic: A single operator handles all validity checks, improving consistency across lists.

Further enhancements to this can be expected in the near future on being able to expand on email address validation.
