Preliminary Troubleshooting Tips

Many integration issues and inquiries can be addressed within VMS Sync Admin Tools. Before submitting a VMS Sync Support ticket, it's recommended to report all VMS issues to your product champion(s) for initial investigation. This reduces delay between detection and resolution.

Common troubleshooting tips include:

  • Validating failed Credentials
    • Log into the VMS with a Credential’s username and password.
    • Update Credential details in VMS Sync when appropriate.
  • Viewing Position Details to determine:
    • Why a position is missing/delayed (e.g. expired password, rule ignoring position delivery)
    • Why an ATS field is blank (e.g. VMS value could be blank or within a different VMS field)
    • Why an ATS field was populated with an incorrect value (e.g. poorly formatted/incorrect VMS value, Company/Skill Mapping requires relinking, or Rules update required to capture the correct VMS value)
