What is Merge PDF?

Merge PDF lets you merge multiple documents together to make one PDF, directly from within Bullhorn!

Which entities does Merge PDF support?

Using Credentialing, you can merge PDFs from Candidate and Placement records.

  • You're also able to merge files together directly from the Files tab for Candidates, Placements, Companies, and Contacts.

What happens if I attempt a PDF merge from a credential that doesn't have a file attached?

A dialogue will appear informing you that the credential has no attached files. The Merge PDF can still be created with other credentials that don't have attached files.

Which file types are supported for merging PDFs?​​

Am I able to download the merged PDF directly to my computer?

Yes. When you're on step 5 below, don't select a record for "Save the Completed File Back to a Record". If a record isn't selected, you'll be prompted to download the PDF instead of saving it to a record.

What is the file size limit for merging a PDF?

The limit for the size of a file is 10 megabytes (mb). If the PDFs you're attempting to merge add up to 10 or more megabytes, you will be unable to merge them together.

Creating a Merge PDF

The below steps outline creating a merged PDF from the Files tab within Bullhorn Novo.

If you use our Credentialing feature, you're able to merge PDFs from the Credentials tab on Candidate and Placement records.
  1. Open the Files tab on the record that has files you want to merge.
    • S-Release: Select the binoculars next to a record on the list view and move to Step 4.

  2. Select the files that you want to merge together.
  3. Click the Selected button.
  4. Select Create Merged PDF.
  5. Add any remaining files and adjust the details of your merged PDF as desired:
    • File Name - Named [Record Last Name]_MergeDoc by default.
    • Save the Completed File Back to a Record - Saves the PDF to the Files tab for the selected record.
    • Optimize File Size - Makes the size of the file smaller.
  6. Then, do one of the following:
    • Save + Close - Saves the merged PDF to the selected record's Files tab.
    • Compose Email - Opens the Compose a Message screen within Bullhorn.
