Assigning Credential Requirements to Records

Credential Requirements need to be assigned to records where they are needed.

While Credential Requirements can be assigned directly to Jobs, Job Submissions (Internal Submissions), and Placements, we recommend setting Credential Requirements at the Company level for a more automated process. For more information, see Flowing Credential Requirements.

Job

  1. From the Job record, navigate to the Edit tab.
  2. Populate the Credential Requirements or the Credential Requirement Groups field.
  3. Click Save.

Doing this will cause the Internal Submissions to inherit the Credential Requirements from the Job record automatically.

Bullhorn Automation can be used to add credentials to job records. See the article Update Credential Automation Step for more information.

Internal Submission

  1. Navigate to the Candidate record that has an Internal Submission.
  2. Click the Credentials tab.
  3. From the Existing Credentials drop-down, select Job Submission Credential Requirements
  4. Click Add Job Submission Credential Requirements.
  5. Click Save.

Placement

  1. Navigate to the Candidate record that has a Placement.
  2. Click the Credentials tab.
  3. From the Existing Credentials drop-down, select Placement Credential Requirements.
  4. Click Add Placement Credential Requirements.
  5. Click Save.

Alternatively, you can open the Placement record and add Placement Credential Requirements via the Credentials tab.

Candidate

Assign Credential Requirements directly to Candidate records to keep track of what’s needed in order for them to exist in your database. For example, you might only work with Candidates who have their RN License so every Candidate who doesn’t have that doesn’t get added to your database. This is an optional feature and does not prevent the Candidate from entering/remaining in Bullhorn.

  1. On a Candidate record, click the Credentials tab.
  2. Click the Add drop-down and select Candidate Credential Requirement.
  3. Specify the Credential Requirements or Credential Requirement Group and click Save.

The Credential Requirement(s) will now be visible on the Candidate Credential Requirement tab.

Credential Requirement assigned to records will appear on the Credential Requirements list and will need to be matched with a Candidate’s Credentials. See Matching Credentials With Credential Requirements for more information.
