2023.06 Highlights

  • Essentials - Additional fields when creating new Records
  • API enhancements
  • Fixes and performance improvements

In this month's release we've added many additional fields when creating new records in the web app. We've done this to ensure that key fields which can be easily overlooked are more prominent at the point of record creation, to encourage data entry and help improve your data quality. For example, for the first time users will be able to view/edit all name components when creating People, name the default location when creating Company records and set an Assignment status when creating them afresh.

This improvement was previously voted by customers in a Product roadmap webinar poll.

People Records - new fields:

  • Access to all Name fields
  • Gender (If enabled in system preferences)
  • Start Date
  • Available Date

Company Records - new fields:

  • Email
  • Business Tel
  • Website
  • Location Name & Address fields

Assignment Records - new fields:

  • Company
  • Assignment Status

Elsewhere we’ve added requested additional fields and endpoints to our public API.

Microsoft .net framework update coming soon

Soon, desktop app users will need to update a key Microsoft software component (.net framework). This component should already be automatically installed through Windows update, so no further action should be necessary. However, if users and IT providers wish to manually download and install the Microsoft update ahead of time, they can use this link.

Outlook 2013 - End of life

Starting from our 2023.07 update, we will no longer support Outlook 2013. Microsoft recently announced that this version has reached its end of life, which means they will no longer be maintaining or releasing security updates for this version.

To continue using the Invenias Desktop application seamlessly, we kindly ask you to update to a supported version of Outlook (2016, 2019, O365). By doing so, you'll ensure that you have access to the latest features, security enhancements, and ongoing support from both Invenias and Microsoft. Should you have any questions or need assistance with the update, please don't hesitate to reach out to our friendly support team.
