Add CandidateId for Job for VMS Sync Submittals for Jobscience

When setting up VMS Sync Submittals for Jobscience, you need to be able to add fields to the Job Object. In order to do that, you must first have the CandidateId field created.

  1. Click New.
  2. Under Data Type, select the radio button for Formula and click Next.
  3. In the Choose output type screen, set the below values:
    • Field Label: CandidateId__c
    • Field Name: CandidateId
  4. UnderFormula Return Type, select the radio button for Text and click Next.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Enter formula screen, locate the formula box and enter "null".
  7. Check the formula by clicking Check Syntax.
  8. Once you know the formula is valid, click Next.
  9. In the Establish field-level security screen, set the below values at adjust the edit access permissions:
    • Visible: Select most as visible or leave as default.
    • Ready Only: These values cannot be changed.
  10. For any page layouts you do not want to see the field on, uncheck the box under Add Field, next to the corresponding Page Layout Name.
  11. Click Next and then click Save.
