AI and Amplify August Release (2026.8)
What’s in this release
The August 2026 (2026.8) release for AI and Amplify highlights the new Amplify Assistant docked side panel, saved and reusable Amplify Chat prompts, user-level access control for Amplify Chat, on-demand summary generation for Notes and Emails, and template clutter prevention in Amplify Present, plus one internal fix to the Amplify Credential Parser.
Amplify Assistant Has a New Home
Amplify Chat now docks to the side of records by default, pushing content over instead of overlaying it. You can toggle between docked and pop-out views, and your preference is saved across records.
NewSave Custom Prompts in Amplify Chat
You can now create and reuse prompts directly from any Amplify Chat conversation. Unlike existing saved prompt support, these prompts aren’t tied to a single entity, and can be kept private or shared.
NewUser-Level Control for Amplify Chat
Admins can now manage Amplify Chat access by individual user, in addition to existing user type-based access control, from Amplify Admin settings.
UpdatedPush to Generate Summary Cards
Amplify Summary cards on the Notes and Emails tabs no longer auto-generate when the page loads. A Generate Summary button lets you run a summary on demand, with a Regenerate option when new notes or emails come in.
Prevent Empty Templates in Present
Templates no longer save in Amplify Admin until the user explicitly clicks Save. This helps reduce template clutter, especially as new clients are first working with templates.
