Amplify Outreach FAQ

This article answers common questions about using Amplify Outreach, including automation setup, AI message generation, and enrollment management.

What happens if I pause an Outreach automation?

If you pause an automation with Allow in Amplify enabled, it will no longer appear as an option for enrollment in Bullhorn ATS. It will reappear once the automation is resumed.

Why can’t I see my automation in the Amplify Tab or Overview?

The automation must be active (not paused) in Bullhorn Automation and have the Allow in Amplify setting enabled.

If it still doesn’t appear, contact Bullhorn Support for assistance.

Can I edit the automation steps after I’ve enrolled a contact or candidate?

You can edit any steps that the record hasn’t yet completed. For example, if they’re in a Wait step, you can modify upcoming steps before the next message is sent.

Can I remove a contact or candidate from an Outreach campaign after enrollment?

Yes — if the record is in a Wait step, you can remove them manually.

If the automation includes suppression logic, you may also be able to trigger removal automatically. Check with your Automation Admin to confirm which suppression rules are in place and how they apply.

If I edit a message in the ATS slideout, will it update the automation itself?

No. Edits made in the ATS slideout apply only to the specific contact(s) or candidate(s) you’re enrolling.

The original automation and its content remain unchanged.

Can I skip certain messages or wait steps for an individual contact or candidate?

No, steps can’t be skipped. However, you can edit the message content or adjust the Wait step length for that record before launching the automation.

If I click “Save and Start Later,” how long are my edits saved?

Your edits are saved indefinitely until you return to the automation and start it.

What information does the LLM use to personalize messages?

The LLMClosed An LLM, or Large Language Model, is a deep learning model that has been pre-trained on vast amounts of data and is used to power generative AI. uses the instructions set in your automation along with data from the candidate or contact record in Bullhorn ATS to create personalized content.

If your personalized messages don’t appear as expected, double-check that your automation includes clear LLM instructions and that the candidate or contact record contains up-to-date information.
