What fields are required to publish a job to Monster?

The fields below are required by Monster and cannot be made optional. They can be found on the Publish Job screen:

  • Account

  • Title

  • Industry

  • Occupation

  • Job Level

  • Years of Experience

  • Education Level

  • City

  • State

  • Zip

  • Country Code

  • Contact

  • Company

 

 

What fields are required to publish a job to CareerBuilder?

The fields below are required by CareerBuilder and cannot be made optional. They can be found on the Publish Job screen:

  • Account

  • Title

  • Job Type

  • Industry Code

  • BrandBuilder

  • Employee Type

  • ​Experience

  • Education

  • City

  • State

  • Zip

  • Country

  • Minimum Salary

  • Pay Type

  • Company

  • Name

Publishing Jobs to Monster and CareerBuilder

Navigate to the job you want to publish and click the Actions button.

Select Publish.

The Publish Job screen will now open.

Select the Monster or CareerBuilder option.

Note: If you don't see these options, ensure that you have a JobCast account set up.

Fill out the required fields that display under the Description box.

  • S-Release: Select the Advanced option to view additional required fields.

Select the Publish button when all required fields are filled out.

Your job will now be published to Monster or CareerBuilder depending on your selection.



Refreshing and Updating Jobs on Monster or CareerBuilder

When you refresh a job on Monster, the original postdate remains, but the expiration date resets for another 30 days in the future.

When you refresh a job on CareerBuilder, the postdate resets, making the job appear new.

 

When you update a job on Monster, the job only counts as a new slot if you change the location. When you update a job on CareerBuilder, the expiration date, which is one month from the original postdate, does not extend. In other words, if you post a job on November 1, you can edit or un-post and repost the job without cost until December 1. If you repost the job after December 1, you are charged for a second posting.

  1. Navigate to the job you want to refresh or update and click the Actions button.
  2. Select Publish.
    • The Publish Job screen will now open.

  3. Select the Republish button.
    • S-Release: Select the refresh icon  next to the job board you want to refresh or update the job on.

Note: If you need to update the job's information, you should do that prior to republishing the job.

Your job will now be refreshed/updated on Monster or CareerBuilder depending on your selection.


Unpublishing a Job From Monster or CareerBuilder

  1. Navigate to the job you want to unpublish and click the Actions button.
  2. Select Publish.
    • The Publish Job screen will now open.

  3. Select Unpublish.
    • S-Release: Select the slider  next to the job board you want to remove the job from.

  4. Select Unpublish.

Your job will now be unpublished from Monster or CareerBuilder depending on your selection.
