Using Copilot on the Candidate Record
This article explains how to use Copilot on a Candidate A person looking for a job. A candidate can also be referred to as a Job Seeker, Applicant, or Provider. record in Bullhorn for Salesforce.
Copilot integrates with Azure GPT and can be used to create candidate correspondence by automatically pulling information from the Candidate record. You can use this to generate email messages, screening questions, pitches, and much more with the click of a button.

Copilot is available to Bullhorn for Salesforce customers at no extra cost. To request this feature, please reach out to your Bullhorn Account Manager.
How Does Copilot Work?
- You select a prompt button from the Copilot section on a Candidate record.
- In the background, Bullhorn engineers a prompt to return the desired outcome and pushes that prompt to your connected Large Language Model (LLM).
- In a matter of seconds, the LLM returns the output directly to Copilot.
- Once your output is returned, you can adjust the length, and tone, or use a custom action to refine your results.
Using Copilot
- Open a candidate record and find the Copilot section or tab.
- Click on one of the prompt buttons.
- The following prompts are available:
- Summarize candidate’s profile
- Pitch candidate for a job A job (vacancy, position, role) is an opening for which a customer's client needs a placement.
- Create screening questions
- The following prompts are available:
- You can tailor your prompt to a specific job by searching and selecting the job in the Search Job Name field.
- Copilot pulls information from the candidate’s resume by default. In addition to the resume, you can include information from the Skills or Employment History by checking the boxes.
- Copilot automatically refreshes the prompt each time you add or remove sources. You can also use the Resend option to generate a new response to the prompt.
- After sending the prompt, you can use the following options to refine your message:
- Click Change Tone and select an option to match your preferred writing style.
- Click Change Length and select an option to shorten or increase the word count.
- Click Custom Action When used in ATS or Search and Match UI, one of multiple actions available after user has selected a sub-set of Candidates for any additional instructions, such as:
- Translating from English to another language
- Translating to UK English
- Making the message format HTML-friendly
- Once you are happy with the results, select Copy to Clipboard and paste the text into an email or text message.
