Using the SourceBreaker LinkedIn extension, you can quickly and easily uncover businesses that hire into your core market.

Open LinkedIn Recruiter and your SourceBreaker Extension

  1. Build a SourceBreaker search with the tech stack that you recruit for in the Job Title field. e.g. ".net" and set your location.
  2. Using the LinkedIn-specific filters, change job titles from "current or past" to "current" to find individuals who currently have ".net" in their job title.
  3. You'll now have a list of candidates that work for businesses that specifically hire candidates with that particular skillset, or use that skill as a core tech stack in their business.

Build a New Keyword Group Outlining these Businesses

Coming back to the extension, you next need to build a brand new keyword group and copy and paste the name of each company that hires for that specific skill set. e.g. “Companies that hire .net’.

Tip: Whenever you create a new keyword group or add your industry knowledge to SourceBreaker, always remember to select Save & Update Team.

Navigate Back to the Main SourceBreaker Platform

  1. In SourceBreaker, open up a brand new search.
  2. In the Job Title field, enter your specialist tech stack e.g. ".net".
  3. In the Companies field, enter the new keyword group that you just created on LinkedIn using the SourceBreaker extension. e.g. "Companies that hire .Net".
  4. Set your location.
  5. Click Search Leads, and monitor the hiring activity of each of these businesses.

Tip: Set up a SourceBot on this search to receive notifications each time these businesses post a job that falls into your market.

Remember, when setting up a SourceBot that focuses on business development, you might want to untick your candidate sources and only receive notifications about new jobs that are posted.
