My Adapt: Documents
The Document Library is used to keep track of the documents generated in Adapt for Candidates, Clients, Contacts, Job Orders and Assignments. This page contains the user’s document library, which encompasses all of the documents created via workflows the user runs or uploads.
General Layout
The left side of the page displays all folders that hold your documents. Next to each folder name is a number indicating the number of documents contained in the folder. A plus sign (+) next to a folder indicates that it contains subfolders. You can open the folder to see the subfolders by clicking on the plus (+) sign.
The contents of each folder displays in the right pane.
To display a document, double-click on the document name. Windows will use the document's associated program to open it and allow you to view the document.
Adding a Document
To add a document, click Add Document. This opens a window that allows you to select the folder in which you want to store the document. The window also displays the type of documents that can be uploaded to the selected folder.
On the second page of the window, use the Browse button to select the document you want to add. Once you have selected the document (or documents), click Upload Documents to add it (or them) to your document library.
Working with Library Documents
To work with your documents, click Tools. This displays a window showing all the actions you can take on the selected document (a document is selected by placing a check in the box beside the document name). Using this option you can open documents, delete them, move them, rename them, and make them the default document.
A default document cannot be deleted.
Viewing a Preview of the Document
If you would like to see a preview of the document, click the icon that looks like a paper-clip. This causes a preview panel to appear below the document list. To remove the preview panel, click on the paper clip icon again.
Changing Document Settings
ClickDocument Library Settingsto determine the columns that appear on the document list as well as the sort order of presented documents. You can also select to view the documents in Detail View (with all selected information about the document displayed) or Iconic View (with only the document name displayed).
