Creating Company Organizational Charts
You can capture organization charts within individual companies by building a contact reporting structure. For example, you could have Museum of Science contacts and Louis DeWitt (the Corporate Recruiter) and Michelle Woodland (the Director of Internships) report to contact Lisbeth Abramson (the VP of HR), who in turn all ultimately report to Adam Schulman (the CEO). When put together, Bullhorn generates a visual chart that looks like this:
You create all organizational chart hierarchies starting from the bottom up (e.g., employee manager VP). In order to be a part of an organizational chart, all members must have contact records in the system and must be associated with the same company record.
To Create a Company Organizational Chart
- From the contact tab of the company record, select a contact at the bottom of the company's hierarchy and click the Edit tab.
- In the Reports To field, enter the name of the person to whom the contact reports.
- Click
- If necessary, repeat steps 1-3 until the entire org chart is complete.
To View a Company Organizational Chart
- From the company record, click on the Actions drop-down.
- Select View Organizational Chart.
- S-Release: You may also start from a contact record. From the Overview tab, to the right of the Reports To field, click View Organizational Chart.
Note: The Reports To field must be displayed on the Overview tab in order to complete this step. If you don’t see it, contact your administrator. |
