Why Can’t I See the AI Assistant in Bullhorn?
If you don’t see the AI Assistant (formerly called Copilot) in Bullhorn, it may be due to permissions, feature availability, or configuration settings. This article explains the most common causes and how to resolve them.
Common Reasons the AI Assistant Is Missing
If you can’t see the AI Assistant in Bullhorn, it could be due to:
-
Feature not enabled by Bullhorn: The AI Assistant must be enabled by Bullhorn before it can be used. To get started, reach out to your Account Manager.
-
User permissions not assigned: Access to the AI Assistant is controlled by user type entitlements. If you don’t see the AI Assistant, ask your administrator to confirm whether you should have access. If needed, your administrator can contact Bullhorn Support to request the proper entitlements.
-
Temporary technical issue: Occasionally, cache, connectivity, or session issues may prevent the AI Assistant from appearing. This may be solved by clearing your cache and trying again.
Quick Checks for Standard Users
If you’re a standard user and you can't view the AI Assistant, try these first:
-
Refresh your browser or clear your cache.
-
Log out of Bullhorn and log back in.
-
Ask your administrator to confirm the AI Assistant is enabled for your account.
-
Check if your colleagues can see the AI Assistant. If not, it may be a system-wide issue.
Troubleshooting Steps for Admins
If you're an admin user and you or another user are unable to access the AI Assistant, try these steps:
-
Confirm the AI Assistant is enabled for your corporation:
The AI Assistant requires a signed legal addendum and must be enabled by Bullhorn Support. If you haven’t used the AI Assistant before, reach out to your Account Manager to get started.
-
Check user roles and permissions:
The AI Assistant can be enabled at the user level for each record type (candidate, contact, or job). Compare access with another user in the same user type. If nobody in that group has access, contact Bullhorn Support to request the correct entitlements.
-
Verify API/integration status (customer-hosted LLM
An LLM, or Large Language Model, is a deep learning model that has been pre-trained on vast amounts of data and is used to power generative AI. only):
If you are hosting your own LLM through OpenAI or Azure, go to Admin > AI Assistant Admin and confirm the integration is active and API keys are valid. For more information on the correct configuration, see Enabling AI Assistant (Customer-hosted LLM)
-
Escalate to Support:
If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, contact Bullhorn Support. Since the AI Assistant setup is handled on the back end, Support can confirm configuration and troubleshoot further.
