Parent Project Application

Overview

The Parent Project application for Bullhorn ATS allows you to group related Job Order records under a single ‘project’ to help you keep your jobs organized. This ‘project’ is represented in a separate Job Order record that will serve as the parent of all Job Orders that are part of the project.

This is part of a suite of applications designed to enhance Bullhorn functionality and deliver efficiency savings through reducing clicks. The Parent Project application enables you to group jobs within a single project, which is presented on the Overview section of the designated parent Job Order record for easy access, eliminating the need to search or filter the Job Order List View to find related jobs.

A client has shared with your agency a list of positions to fill, needed to achieve a plea they made to go Net Zero by the end of 2028. They have dozens of other Job Orders for their daily operations, however, your agency wants to update the client on these specific jobs. Instead of going into the Job Orders list view and searching or filtering the results to meet this criteria, an Account Manager can simply view the record overview of the Parent job to see details of all the jobs in this project, and can quickly give an update to the client.

Parent Project Functionality

Parent and Child Jobs

With the Parent Project application enabled, you can create ‘parent’ jobs by selecting a designated value in the employmentType field (e.g. “Project”) when adding the Job Order record.

Note: The name of this value can be customized as part of the initial configuration.

Setting a job as a ‘parent’ allows you to link other jobs underneath it as ‘child’ jobs. When creating a child job, you can select a parent job from a custom picker field to link it to. Up to 500 ‘child’ jobs can be linked to each parent job.

Project Display Card

A Project card will be added to the Job Order record overview with the following information:

  • On a parent job, the Project card displays a table with details and links to all associated child jobs. You can sort and filter the table and expand each job to display a list of notes.
  • On a child job, the Project card displays a link to the parent job.

Enabling the Parent Project Application

You must be live on a Bullhorn ATS or Bullhorn One system and have paid for the configuration of the application. This will include the enablement and initial configuration of the ‘parent’ employmentType. Additional configurations can be implemented at further cost.

Please contact your Bullhorn representative for further information.
