Copy Placement Application

Overview

The standard Copy Placement application allows Bullhorn One and Bullhorn ATS users to create an exact copy of any existing placement record. In addition, you can leverage the flexible configuration options available in the standard deployment.

This is part of a suite of applications designed to enhance Bullhorn functionality by introducing alternative workflows that offer efficiency outcomes through reduced clicks.

The Copy Placement application is a huge time-saver when you need to create new placements similar to ones you already have. Instead of having to create a record from scratch, you can easily copy all the fields from an existing record and only make changes to the fields that need to be updated.

Enabling the Copy Placement Application

You must be live on a Bullhorn One or Bullhorn ATS system and have paid for the configuration of the application. This will include the enablement of the feature and one configuration. The Copy Placement action can be set up to be triggered by either an action menu item within a placement record or by a button located in a custom tab on a placement record. Additional configurations can be implemented at further cost.

Core Configuration

Although Bullhorn provides recommended configurations for the Copy Placement application, the solution offers configuration options to adapt to most business cases. You will work with the Bullhorn Professional Services team to implement a solution that fits your needs.

The custom action will consist of a combination of configurations. The following are examples of configuration options:

  • Option to define a default Placement Status when being copied. If not defined, it will be copied from the parent placement. Note: A status of “Approved” will not be allowed.
  • Option to define the default status of a Rate Card when being copied, If not defined, it will be copied from the parent placement.
  • Option to control if Copy Placement should:
    • Leave Rate Cards blank
    • Copy from parent Placement
    • Copy from Job Order
  • Option to select which placement Custom Objects to copy over.
  • Option to copy Commissions from the parent placement.
  • Option to copy Customer Required Fields (CRFs) from the parent placement.

Using the Copy Placement Application

The following steps demonstrate a typical Bullhorn One or Bullhorn ATS implementation for copying a placement, based on the application’s standard configuration. Depending on your set up, this may not exactly match what is shown below.

  1. From an existing placement record, select the action Copy Placement.
  2. You will be directed to a blank page displaying the button +Copy Placement.
  3. A confirmation message will display showing the Placement ID. Select the ->Continue to Placement button to enter the new placement record and make your updates.
