Keyword Search Not Returning All Results

Keyword search in the Combined Activity Timeline was not returning activities when users searched for terms in the Subject or Description fields, making it difficult to find specific activities.

We improved the keyword search functionality in the Combined Activity Timeline to handle larger data volumes more efficiently. The search now processes activities in chunks to prevent system timeouts when searching through extensive activity histories.

The search now uses SOQL instead of SOSL and is restricted to specific fields on Task/EventClosed A Salesforce term used to describe an activity that involves invitations being sent out and calendar appointments being made. (Subject, Description, WhoId, Who.Name, Who.Email, WhatId, What.Name). Additional parent object fields can be made searchable via the Searchable Field Set configuration on Power Notes Supported Object metadata.
