Configure Branding in Talent Platform
This article will guide you through configuring the branding settings within Bullhorn's Talent Platform. Properly setting up your branding ensures that the applicant portal and communications from the platform, such as emails and text notifications, reflect your company's identity.
Common Reasons to Configure Your Branding
You may want to adjust your branding settings in the Talent Platform to:
-
Ensure a consistent brand experience for your candidates in the applicant portal and email communications.
-
Customize the look and feel of the candidate portal with your company's official colors.
-
Upload your company logo so it appears correctly on the applicant portal.
-
Apply different branding for separate business locations if they have distinct visual identities.
-
Use a specific brand name in emails and text notifications sent to candidates.
Accessing Branding Settings
To start customizing your brand:
-
Log into your Talent Platform account.
-
Navigate to Configuration > Settings > Branding. This will open the branding configuration page where you manage your visual identity.
Managing Branding for Multiple Locations
You can configure a single default branding to apply across all locations, or define unique branding for individual offices.
-
If all locations share the same visual identity, configure the branding once by using Default from the drop-down.
-
If locations have distinct branding, select the location from the drop-down menu and set its details separately.
Uploading Your Logo
Your company logo appears in the applicant portal only, not in email communications. To upload it:
-
On the Branding page, locate the Logo section.
-
Drag and drop your logo file into the designated area.
Setting Brand Colors
Apply your company’s color palette to create a seamless candidate experience. You can define both a primary and a secondary color.
-
On the Branding page, go to the Color section.
-
Enter the hex codes for your primary and secondary colors, including the “#” symbol.
-
If you don’t know the hex code, click into the color field to open the visual color picker and choose a shade.
-
As you make changes, the preview panel on the right shows how your selections will appear in the portal and in emails.
Publishing Your Settings
Once you are satisfied with your changes, you must publish them to make them live:
-
Click PUBLISH BRANDING SETTINGS in the bottom right corner of the page.
Defining Your Brand Name for Communications
Emails and text notifications can display a specific brand name for each location. This setting is optional.
-
Go to Configuration > Settings > Locations and click on a location to edit.
-
Enter the desired name in the Brand Name field.
-
If left blank, communications from that location will display the name of your default headquarters location.
-
Ensure that the system setting “Require Applicant Home Location Assignment” is on in order to set the candidate location for branding.
FAQ
What happens if I don’t set a Brand Name for a location?
The system requires a DBA name when creating locations.
Do I have to set up branding for each location individually?
No. If all locations use the same branding, configure the default once and it applies everywhere. Only set up locations individually if they require different branding.
Do I need hex codes to set colors?
No. You can type hex codes directly or use the visual color picker. If typing a code, be sure to include the “#” symbol.
