Determing User Permissions

When you need user permissions for Invenias Power varies. For more details, see below:

• Viewing Dashboards: No Invenias User permission is required for a User to view a Power BI dashboard.

  A Power BI licensing is required to view a dashboard. For details, see Invenias Power BI Licensing

• Building/Editing Dashboards: The new Invenias User Permission Use Power BI Custom Connector is required to build or edit a Power BI dashboard.
  Caution! Only grant this permission to users who need it. It allows access and export of your data.

How To Assign User Permissions

Assigning user permissions is a three-step process.

1. Open the Invenias web app, navigate to the Admin page.
2. Select a user.
3. Assign the Use Power BI Custom Connector permission to those who require it.

Any Invenias User in the System Administrator user group will have this permission assigned by default.
