Shift Scheduler with Bullhorn Messaging

Overview

Using Bullhorn Messaging, you can send outbound shift-related candidate communications through SMS. To enable Bullhorn Messaging, please contact your Account or Relationship Manager.

The Shift Scheduler is available in North America only.

Setting the Default Communication Method

This field defines the default method for sending shift-related communications to candidates.

  1. Navigate to the Shift Admin page.
  2. Select the Candidate Portal Settings tab.
  3. Open the Messaging dropdown.
  4. Set the new Default Communication Method field to SMS/Texting.

SMS Opt-Ins on the Candidate Record

  1. Ensure the SMS Opt-In field has been added to the Candidate entity via Field Mappings.
  2. Navigate to the Candidate record.
  3. Set the value to Yes.

By selecting that the candidate has opted in to SMS, the candidate can receive shift-related text messages from the Shift Scheduler.

Sending SMS Communications via the Shift Scheduler

The following outbound candidate communications are now supported by SMS:

  • Share Schedule
  • Make Offer
  • Request Availability
