This article contains frequently asked questions and answers about how contacts and candidates can opt in, opt out and unsubscribe to texts.
How can I opt a contact or candidate out of SMS messages from Bullhorn Automation?
The easiest way to opt a contact or candidate out of SMS is to allow for them to opt themselves out. Here is a list of opt-out keywords that the recipient can send to your SMS number to automatically opt them out:
| Keyword | Opts Out From |
|---|---|
|
STOP |
Bullhorn Automation SMS, Bullhorn Messaging, TextUs Next |
|
CANCEL |
Bullhorn Automation SMS, Bullhorn Messaging, TextUs Next |
|
UNSUBSCRIBE |
Bullhorn Automation SMS, Bullhorn Messaging, TextUs Next |
|
END |
Bullhorn Messaging, TextUs Next |
|
QUIT |
Bullhorn Messaging, TextUs Next |
|
STOPALL |
Bullhorn Messaging, TextUs Next |
Only single-word messages will trigger the opt-out. For example, replying "STOP" will stop the contact or candidate from receiving messages from that number, but replying "STOP PLEASE" or "PLEASE CANCEL" will not.
We recommend including a version of the following in any text that you send: "Opt out by replying STOP".
