PTO Accrual

There are two ways that PTO accrues:

  1. Per hour worked - In this situation, the User accrues the set amount of hours for every hour that is APPROVED.
  2. Per pay period - In this situation, the User accrues the set amount of hours on the first day of each period. So, if the period begins on a Monday but the person is not active until Wednesday, they will not accrue PTO for that period but rather at the beginning of the following period.

PTO is subtracted as the Employee Submits their time. This is to make sure that the Employee has enough time accumulated to take the requested amount off.
