Closing Report Candidate Status Custom Logic

Enter a value into the CandidateClosed A person looking for a job. A candidate can also be referred to as a Job Seeker, Applicant, or Provider. Status field in the JobClosed A job (vacancy, position, role) is an opening for which a customer's client needs a placement. Record Type Custom Metadata Types overrides the current candidate status behavior set on the Contact record when a Closing ReportClosed Fifth Stage of Job placement flow, a Candidate that reaches the Closing Report Placement stage has been assigned to a job. In BH4SF, a 'Closing Report' is a record that captures all the information related to the newly filled position (name of Candidate, position, salary, start date, which recruiter gets credit for the hire etc.) is created.

  1. Click Setup > Custom Metadata Types.
  2. Next to Job Record Types, click Manage Records.
  3. Click the desired record type.
    • For example, Consulting.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Enter a value in the Candidate Status field. The custom logic is based on the following:
    • Populated field: If this field is populated, this value will be used for the Candidate Status field on the Contact record.
    • Unpopulated field: If nothing is entered into the field, the logic will work as before.
      • Consulting will show the status as Assigned. All Other record types will show the status as Placed.
  6. Click Save.
