Break Exception Clock Prompts

Overview

This article contains examples of standard Break Exception prompts as seen on the PN-2000 clock. Keep in mind that these prompts may be customized in appearance and behavior, so your experience may differ. Break Exception Clock Prompts will not appear if Break Exceptions are not configured, see Break Exception Configuration for more information.

Break Exception Clock Prompt Examples

  • Late Break: Triggered if an employee took a break at a time later than recommended by the active rules.


  • Missed Meal: This exception is triggered if an employee did not take a meal when the rules indicate one should have been taken.


  • Short Break: This can be triggered if the employee took a break, but the break was shorter than the time recommended in the active rule set.


  • Restricted Punch: May be encountered if rules are in place to control the times at which employees may create new punches based on the time of the previous punch.
