Pendo Technical and Network Requirements
Overview
This article contains information on the specs and requirements for the Pendo clock.
Technical Requirements

Network Requirements
- Network Ports 80 and 443 (HTTP/HTTPS standard browser ports) open on internal Firewalls to allow communication with the Data Server.
- Network Port 123(NTP) open on internal Firewalls to allow the device to synchronize with external or internal time servers.
- The IP address is assigned via DHCP by default. For STATIC IP address configuration, the IP Address, Gateway IP address and Subnet mask will be required for entry on clock setup screens.
- The device is set for DHCP by default.

Network Setup Notes
DNS
The Pendo requires the use of a DNS. DNS translates web URLs like www.myPeoplenet.com to IP addresses like 64.94.3.200. The default DNSs are external which requires the clock to access these servers outside the network’s firewall.
Some networks BLOCK External DNS access and the clock needs to be set-up with the network’s internal DNS addresses.
DHCP
When a clock is set up as DHCP the DNSs are retrieved from the DHCP server(s) and you do not need to set up the DNSs on the clock
STATIC
When a clock is set up for Static IP, the clock will use the IP Addresses entered (STATIC) and use the DNSs that are entered.
- Refer to the clock user manual for steps on setting up DNSs and Static IP Address set up.
