VMS Generated Emails

This article explains what options you have when your updating your email isn't an option.

The majority of VMS's send notifications out to suppliers on new requisitions and updates to those requisitions. VMS Sync automatically updates the contact email address in the VMS to a VMS Sync monitored inbox, for example: import+123456@fyresync.com. Some customers may have their own inbox, in which case the email would look like <customer name>+<sync credential ID>@fyresync.com.

These emails are crucial for updating your positions in real-time. If you still need to receive the VMS generated emails, add your email to the Notifications field on the VMS Sync Credential page. You can add multiple email addresses by adding a “,” between them.

Options

For VMS's that don't support email updating, you have three options:

  • You can forward the emails to a VMS Sync monitored inbox. VMS Sync Customer Support can help you determine which address to use.

  • You can create a new login for the VMS with an email provided by VMS Sync Support or Professional Services.
  • VMS Sync Support or Professional Services can set a timed check in to the VMS to check multiple times an hour for changes.

    VMS Sync does this automatically for VMS's known for no email notifications.
