Send To/From Option for Emails and Notifications

Overview

This article outlines who your Bullhorn Automation emails are sent to and how to select who they're sent from.

Bullhorn Automation emails and notifications allow you more options to specify email header details such as who an email comes from and who a notification goes to. This simplifies many use cases and lets you customize your workflow steps the same way you would with a manually-sent email.

Emails

Depending on the entity, you’ll have several record-associated options for the From field:

  • Candidate Owner for a candidate automation.
  • Placement/Job/Candidate Owner for a Placement or Candidate-based automation.

Alternatively, you’ll be able to specify a generic email address to send from. If using the generic email option, you’ll also need to specify the sender’s name as well as their email address. You can enter multiple email addresses by pressing the tab button between each email address as it is typed out.

Notifications

Notifications work similarly to email, except you’ll be customizing the To field instead of the From field.

For record-associated emails, you’ll have the same options based on the entity-basis of the automation. To add a generic email address, simply type it into the To box. You can add multiple email addresses as well.

If the choice is made to change the email in the From section to a custom email, that email address will receive copies of all notifications sent from that step.
