View Contacts

This article outlines the various ways you can view contacts and their Contact card.

Contact Card

On the Contact tab, select a record to open its Contact Card. The Contact Card shows you information about a contact, including:

  • Bullhorn Automation Score
  • Activity feed
    • This shows recent activity in chronological order, and can be filtered for specific activity types.
  • Automation membership
  • List membership
  • Up to top five matching Jobs
    • This is a useful way to test if automations for Jobs are working properly.

These jobs will only appear if there are jobs to match.

  • Additional details about the contact
  • Full history of the contact’s Bullhorn Automation activity.
  • Mailable/textable status. These statuses include:
    • Opt Out from ATS: Bullhorn field massMailOptOut is TRUE/YES (meaning the contact has opted out of mass mail in Bullhorn).
    • Opt Out by Contact: The contact has unsubscribed from a Bullhorn Automation email.
    • Unsubscribed by Bounce: The contact has experienced a Hard BounceClosed from a Bullhorn Automation email.
    • Opted Out by Contact with Same Email: Bullhorn Automation identifies opt outs by email address, so if you send an email to a candidate or contact and they opt out, any other records with the same email address will be opted out too.
    • Unsubscribed By Client: The contact has been unsubscribed by a client user from the Automation tab in the ATS.

Phone Numbers

Contacts’ phone numbers won't always display exactly as they do in the ATS. This is because Bullhorn Automation parses the number to remove formatting and separate the country code so that text messages can be sent in an acceptable format.

For Australia and New Zealand, Bullhorn Automation only keeps a maximum of nine digits and trims the numbers before that. "0" is removed.

Advanced Search

On the Contacts tab, you can use the Advanced Search button to filter contacts by criteria, such as record type, lists they're on, etc.

The number of records matching the search will show once you select your criteria. You can save searches for quick access later.

Select a record from the search results to open their Contact Card.

Use the Advanced Search to test your list logic prior to building a new list. You can run a search using your chosen criteria to see which contacts are returned. If you like the results, you can save it as a list.
