Overview

Browse is a Lightning component that can be enabled on any object List ViewClosed One of the three user Interfaces in ATS v2 (the others being Kanban View and Table View) and as an action for ATS v2 in Bullhorn for Salesforce. The Browse component allows users to select records from a list view then review record data in a separate window. Users can then take action on those records, such as sending an email or applying to a jobClosed A job (vacancy, position, role) is an opening for which a customer's client needs a placement..

This article covers the main features of Browse and how to use them. Browse is extremely customizable and this article uses out-of-the-box configuration as examples but your Org may have different fields and options configured. For details on out-of-the-box and custom configuration, System Administrators should refer to Browse Component Configuration for more details.

Launch Browse

To use Browse, navigate to any list view, select the desired records, then click the Browse button to launch the browse page.

Browse Page Layout

The Browse page is divided into two areas:

  • The Navigation header (top section)
  • The Tabs section (bottom section)

The navigation header is used to move through the selected records and perform group actions while the tabs section displays details about the current record.

The Navigation Header

The navigation header includes:

The total number of candidatesClosed A person looking for a job. A candidate can also be referred to as a Job Seeker, Applicant, or Provider. selected is shown in brackets next to the Browse title on the top left.

The record’s name is displayed in the middle, along with data from the relevant object. System Administrators can control which fields are displayed here.

To move through records use either the Previous and Next buttons or click the dropdown menu and select a different record.

The checkbox to the left of the record name is enabled by default and indicates the currently selected record will be included in a Group Action. You can select and deselect records for Group Actions individually, using this checkbox while you navigate through the list, or you can make your selections using the dropdown list of records.

The Group action button performs the selected action for all the records you have selected using the checkbox in Browse.

The Tabs Section

The Tabs section includes:

  • Tabs
  • Subtabs
  • Single actions

Tabs and subtabs are useful to “zoom in” from the initial list selections to view individual records and browse related data. Both Record Detail and Lightning/Aura Component tabs are supported in Browse.

The tabs section of the Browse page is divided into two panels. In the standard configuration, record details are in the left panel with actions in the right panel. Unlike the group actions in the navigation header, using these actions affect only the single record being viewed, not all selected records.

Admin Note: System Administrators can customize the size and layout of the Browse tab panels and tabs can be added to either side.

Group Action

A checkbox label shows that a Contact can be included in a Group Action.

Contact

The Contact selection has a label for Select Contact. The Contact selection has been grouped with the arrows for a navigation group on the right side.

Out-of-the-box Browse

Browse is extremely customizable so System Administrators can adjust the Objects, Tabs, and Actions for Browse to suit their Org’s needs. This table shows what is provided in the standard configuration:
