Power Share Button

To minimize visual distractions when adding a project comment, a new button has been introduced on the new Power Note (MI) action. This button enables sharing of comments for shareable subjects.

If the Power Share button is clicked, the Share UI will be displayed.

After the button is clicked, it will be hidden and you will no longer be able to click it again and hide the Share UI.

Share Button Behaviors

  • Shareable Subjects: When switching from one shareable subject to another shareable subject, the shared content will persist.
  • Non-Shareable Subjects: When switching from a shareable subject to a non-shareable subject, the shared content will be wiped.

This behavior applies to ATS actions and custom actions on objects.

Deleting Shared Content

If you want to delete the shared content, you will need to explicitly select and delete it.

Editing Existing Shares

When editing an existing share, the button will be hidden.

The display of the right section with Share UI will depend on whether the Power Shares have been saved previously.

Known Behaviors & Limitations

This section outlines expected behaviors in uncommon scenarios that users should be aware of. In most cases, these behaviors are documented as known issues and may be addressed if their priority or urgency increases.

  • Clicking the Save Progress button when sharing a comment creates a Power Share entry on the Contract record.
  • If the user changes the Subject and selects one without the Show Sharing option enabled:
    • An orange warning message appears.
    • The shared note is deleted.
Important: The orange warning message does not appear in a modal window, so users are not prompted to confirm before the note is deleted. This could cause accidental data loss.
